“Dexter’s Laboratory: The Complete Series” Gets DVD Release This June
Fans of Dexter’s Laboratory can look forward to owning the entire series on DVD, for the first time ever, come June 25, 2024.
The upcoming physical home release of Dexter’s Laboratory: The Complete Series on DVD will include all 78 episodes (216 segments) from the iconic cartoon. It will also be accompanied by the special “Dexter’s Laboratory: Ego Trip”.
While the animated series is currently available for purchase Digitally via Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and more, I do think fans are excited about the physical version coming out soon. I know I am. There’s just something about owning physical media.
Running on Cartoon Network from 1996-2003, the award-winning comedy series, created by Genndy Tartakovsky, featured boy genius Dexter (Christine Cavanaugh, Candi Milo), a third-grader, doing experiments and creating impressive inventions in his secret laboratory. However, his older sister Dee Dee (Allison Moore, Kat Cressida), who is into ballet, always finds a way to mess up Dexter’s plans.
As the show progressed, Dexter’s rival, another genius kid named Mandark was introduced. Mandark also had a crush on Dee Dee. Not only that, the fictional world of this TV show included superheroes, and Dexter’s pet monkey, named Monkey, being a secret superpowered primate who had saved the world numerous times.
For those wondering, the complete series can be yours to own on DVD for $69.99 SRP US and Canada.
The audio is English with the subtitles being English and Latin America Spanish.
Rated PG, the approximate running time comes in 1,791 minutes.
I’m a bit disappointed that the DVD release doesn’t include any extra features. I would enjoy hearing the creative team talk about the show’s legacy. But oh well.
Are you looking forward to purchasing the entire Dexter’s Laboratory series on DVD come June 25, 2024?
