“Teen Titans GO! vs. Teen Titans” Trailer Has Released and I’m Screaming!
The much-talked-about Teen Titans GO! vs. Teen Titans is actually happening. The official trailer shows the two very different animated takes on the popular DC Comics franchise working together to prevent a multidimensional threat. I can’t wait to watch it!
As a fan of both the original Teen Titans animated show (which ran on Cartoon Network from 2003 to 2006) and the current Teen Titans GO!, I can’t tell you all how excited I am about the upcoming movie.
Even though I still hope we will get a proper sixth season of TT, I’m still happy with what we will be offered in the coming months.
Here’s the action-packed and hilarious trailer!
The trailer shows the TTGO! cast finding themselves in a mysterious arena where they have to face the TT cast. While the Robins, Cyborgs, Starfires, and Beast Boys fight, the Ravens realize their father is behind whatever is happening.
As far as I can tell, the Ravens will be kidnapped and the rest of the team (both versions) will have to rescue them. The final scene in the trailer features numerous other incarnations of the fictional comic book team. The upcoming movie is all ready to be a very ambitious multiverse crossover!
Only time can tell if the 2003 animated series will ever come back as a separate show. As for TTGO!, the animated series continues to be quite successful for Cartoon Network regardless of criticism from some fans. As of writing this, 247 episodes of TTGO! have aired.
TTGO! knows about certain fans of TT not enjoying a more comedic take. The new film continues the series’ trend of using the received criticism as a gag.
No release date for TTGO! vs. TT has been revealed. However, it will be available on Blu-ray and DVD later this year.
I don’t know about you, but I think they should have had a theatrical opening for this new film the same way they released TTGO! To the Movies back on July 27, 2018.
