Domundi Lineup 2026 Highlights

A few days ago, Domundi had its annual showcase event, where it released the pilots for its upcoming series. And there are quite a few shows in this bunch that I am very much looking forward to, so let’s take a look at what we can expect.

If you’ve been around for a while, you’ll know that I basically only watch Thai BL anymore. My main focus is on GMMTV, because when I first got into BL that’s where most of the shows I watched came from. Within the past year or so, I’ve started branching out to the other companies, though I’m still not as familiar with their actors as I am with GMMTV’s. So it may be a little bit short-sighted, but I’m only going to highlight shows with pairs that I know or am interested in. (Hopefully, as I watch more DMD shows, this list will expand. As it is, sorry if I skipped a show you were excited about – you can yell at me at the comments.)

I’m a couple of days late with this post, but cut me some slack. Domundi doesn’t just put out pilot trailers; they put out legitimate short films. Most of these are 10+ minutes long. And it’s Pride Month! It took me a while to get through these. (This was an eight-hour live stream. And I thought GMMTV’s was bad!)

Your Third

My only real experience with Max and Nat – outside of guest roles – is Cutie Pie, and honestly, I was not a huge fan of their storyline. I do have a couple of their other series on my list to watch, but I know they’re a staple of the Domundi lineup. And they’re adorable on TikTok.

This series stars Max as Sam, who has gone off the grid after getting his heart broken, and Nat as Jam, who has been tasked with tracking him down and bringing him back. The trouble is that Jam works for Sam’s older brother, and that’s who is currently dating the person that Sam loved in secret for so long.

This is one of the few teasers (not pilots) out of the batch, because this series was announced previously and is currently filming, so we actually stand a chance of seeing it this year. I think it looks really cute and has the potential to be very funny. It reminds me a lot of Even Sun or Love Sea, which were honestly not that great, but the vibes were immaculate. I love a good beachy, island series. I feel like we don’t get enough of those.

Khemjira Forever

So if you read my Top 5 BLs of 2025 list, you’ll know that Khemjira was my absolute favorite series from last year. I fell in love with it. I binged it in about three days – I watched the final episode on a plane. (I do not recommend this.) It was ridiculously popular, and the special episode was announced last year. It is also, I believe, the only show with even a general airdate, as it’s supposed to drop in October.

This sequel is set before the final scene of the last episode of Khemjira, as Peem and Khem are not yet married nor do they have the twins. As Peem is off to do what he does best, Khem, Charn, and Jet investigate a haunting on the set of a series that is being made based on Khem’s life. Based on previously released promotional images and some of what we see in the pilot, I expect we’ll find out how they end up with the twins, as well.

I am hoping that we’ll get a lot of meta jokes with this, given the premise. If I don’t get at least one scene of someone being angry at how they’re being portrayed, I shall be very upset. It was announced as a special episode, so we’ll have to see if we only get one (hopefully very long) episode, or if it will be more like Peach and Me (the four-episode sequel to Me and Thee) and be a mini-series. Either way, I cannot wait to have this gang back on my screen for more – hopefully less death-defying – adventures.

Also, I get to see Keng and Namping at their NYC fan meet in July, and I could not be more excited.

Unknown Lover

I absolutely loved Thomas and Kong in Your Sky, and their upcoming series Magic Lover is one of the shows I was most looking forward to this year. (Although with the breakup of JimmyOhm, the third pair in the series, alongside KengNamping, we have no idea when we’ll get this. Ohm has yet to be given a new partner.) I’m still bummed I wasn’t able to snag tickets to their NYC fan meet, but then, that’s probably a good thing for my wallet.

This series follows Blue (Kong), who flees to New York after he discovers his partner is unfaithful. There, he meets Anwar (Thomas), who is all too happy to teach him about life.

Admittedly, what I’m most excited about for this series is that I believe they actually intend to film it in New York City. (The pilot absolutely was filmed here – I’d recognize the Manhattan Bridge anywhere. Plus the view of the skyline from Sheep Meadow.) Apparently, that’s very important to the director, and I understand why. Not only because the story is set here, but there’s a vibe to NYC that is hard to fake. (Even though a lot of American shows set here film in LA.) Truthfully, I can’t wait to see what my city will look like through the lens of someone from Thailand.

The Scent of Sorrow

I love TutorYim, although sadly, I only have experience with them through Cutie Pie. I had trouble getting through their series Middleman’s Love, Battle of the Writers isn’t streaming anywhere, and I haven’t started ChermChey yet, though it’s on my list.

This series is set post World War II, with Khan (Tutor) and Was (Yim) being old friends (and lovers) who were separated for a few years and are reunited when Khan needs a place to lay low. After Khan arrives, the town is gripped by a series of murders that are all seemingly being perpetuated by a ghostly woman in a red skirt.

This pilot legitimately pulled the rug out from under me. The first half leads you to believe this is going to be a period romance about a couple coming back together. And then they hit you with the whole “a ghost is possessing people and making them kill”. I was already going to watch because of TutorYim, but that got me hooked. I’ve already mentioned that Khemjira was my favorite series from 2025 – Goddess Bless You From Death was another. I love the supernatural element, and the mystery of what happened to Khan in the years he and Was didn’t see each other. Plus I’m excited to see Tle and FirstOne, especially with Tle as Was’s ex (or current??).

Still Holding Up Like the Moon

I adore Keng and Namping after Khemjira, and as I mentioned previously, I’m eagerly anticipating their other upcoming series, Magic Lover. They really impressed me; I think they’re both fantastic actors, and I like that they’re getting another dramatic series to show off their skills.

This series has Keng pulling double duty as we get a present and a past timeline. He stars as the promising actor Duean, who took his own life 40 years ago, and also as university student Phumek in the present day. Namping is Phakai, who gets sent back in time after a chandelier falls on his head during play practice. Phakai is obsessed with Duean, and when he goes back in time, he winds up in 1982, right after Duean won his first major award.

Look, I have serious issues with a period drama being set the year I was born, but I acknowledge that I’m old and I just have to deal with it. Time travel is a very popular theme now (if you remember from the GMMTV lineup back in November, they have at least three series with a similar premise), and I’m curious to see how this one will shake out, since it’s more involved than Phakai simply ending up in his own body. I would also be unsurprised if there’s a reincarnation element to this story as well, what with Keng having a dual role.

30 Days of Us

Yes, yes, I have yet to watch Love Upon a Time (although it is on my list), so my only experience with Net and JJ is their arc from The Next Prince. I had a lot of issues with their storyline, but none of it has anything to do with them as actors; I actually liked them a lot and wish they had been given more screen time.

This series centers around Bear (Net) and Cho (JJ), who after ten years of marriage are having some problems. Cho feels that the love has gone out of the relationship and intends to take a solo trip to prepare himself to break things off. Bear follows him and asks if he can have 30 days for them to fix their marriage.

I’ll admit, this looks a little heavier than what I would normally be interested in. It looks like it has the potential to be very sad, although with a branded pair, you know a happy ending is fairly likely. But I’m so intrigued by the concept of a long-term, established, married couple. That’s so rare in BLs. I am actually quite eager to see how they tackle the problems that would happen in an existing relationship. It’s not something we normally get to see.

Friend Benefit

I fell in love with TeeTeePor in Duang with You, and I’m so upset that I missed out on tickets to their NYC fan meet. (It sold out in like 10 seconds! I am not that fast. I have no idea how anyone ended up with tickets.)

This series stars TeeTee and Por as Jai and Pik, respectively, who start out as university friends and end up in the same idol group. Pik is in love with Jai, who is a bit of a player, and it may end up jeopardizing his career. Not to mention driving him crazy.

I am so ready for meta commentary about the very real practice of shipping idols together. But also, this is far from the first BL to tackle “friends with benefits” and I’ve honestly yet to see one that really does it well. It usually ends up as “these two are obviously dating basically right from the beginning” (I’m looking at you, Wandee Goodday, my precious). I can’t wait to see these two in such a drastically different dynamic from their characters in Duang with You, especially TeeTee. (He had some moments as Duang where you could see the potential.)

Uke

This series stars Namping as a serial killer who focuses on a very particular type of man. Think Promising Young Woman, only not.

I always think I’m going to like the more toxic, darker stuff until I actually sit down to watch it. Not that there aren’t exceptions, but generally shows like this end up being very much not Jamie shows. That said, I am super interested in the entire premise of this series and the commentary that it will no doubt contain.

You see, Thai BL, despite being an industry centered around men kissing each other, still holds a lot of heteronormative tropes and ideals. One of these is the rigid seme/uke dynamic. Sadly, this is still a hotly contested topic in BL fandom spaces, despite being a rather ridiculous thing to care about. (It’s not my place to have an opinion on anyone’s preferences in the bedroom – be they fictional or not.)

Domundi ukes (for lack of a better term) in particular have been getting a lot of flak lately from people who believe they are being pressured into acting and presenting more feminine than they want to. I know that FirstOne has gotten a lot of hate for the way he is dressed at events; I’m not entirely sure if Namping deals with the same kind of nonsense. But I am living for a series that turns the stereotype on its head, especially from Domundi, given everything.

Passenger Seat Number X

I honestly thought that The Next Prince would be Zee and NuNew’s last series together. I have no idea where I heard that, but I should know better than to take information like that at face value. I love these two together.

This series is a second-chance story, where flight attendant Song (NuNew) one day comes face to face with his ex-boyfriend Pat (Zee), who is coincidentally the new CEO of his airline. Will they be able to overcome the issues that tore them apart in the past, or are they just wearing nostalgia goggles?

Zee and NuNew have a nine-year age gap, and as such they tend to get a lot of roles that reflect that dynamic. NuNew has been a college student a lot. So I’m excited to see them in a series where NuNew’s character is actually an adult with a job. Yes, there’s still a bit of a power imbalance with Zee’s character being NuNew’s boss, but I can overlook that. I got very strong A Dog and a Plane vibes with this one, which I’m sure isn’t intentional, but it’s so interesting that two series with flight attendant leads are coming out so closely – or at all.

My Merman

Tle and FirstOne bowled me over in Khemjira. As much as I loved Peem and Khem and their relationship, it was Charn and Jet who stole my heart and brought me back. These two have something special and I cannot wait to see what they do with it.

This series follows Kin (Tle), whose dreams of being a singer are in danger because he’s having problems with his voice. When he falls into the water and is saved by Pearl (FirstOne), a merman, his voice is restored. The issue is, his voice was healed due to Pearl’s, um, pearl, and without it, he will die.

This show looks absolutely ridiculous and I am completely here for it. Honestly, watching this pilot, I thought it was a cross between Splash, The Little Mermaid, and oddly enough, Just My Luck. Given how many serious dramas are on this list, I will gladly welcome a little silliness. Plus, as I said, I love Tle and FirstOne, although it would be very nice to have a show where Tle isn’t at risk of drowning.

Final Thoughts

While I shouldn’t complain about having so many new shows that I’m excited about, I only have so many hours in a day, people! When am I supposed to do things like sleep and work if I have to watch all of these amazing series?

Seriously, though, I am impressed by the Domundi offerings this year. There is a lot of variety among the pilots, and I can honestly see some of these being very risky. (Uke, for sure, has the potential to be controversial. But Unknown Lover will be taking a lot of risks if they do intend to film in NYC – it’s expensive to film here!) I love that companies are taking more of a chance and giving us such drastically different series. Not that I don’t love a good high school or college story, but I’m happy that we’re getting more than that, and shows with adult characters and more mature themes.
