Jyamma Games has launched Enotria: The Last Song for PC and the PlayStation. The Italian folklore-inspired RPG features a unique battle system utilizing a variety of masks.

Entoria: The Last Song has been described as a “thrilling” Soulslike game that will make the player face a whole lot of danger as they try to master numerous abilities and skills while on a quest to free the world from stagnation.

The premise deals with the Canovaccio, a “twisted eternal play”, holding the world captive in an unnatural stasis. Everyone seems to have a given role in said play. However, you will take on the role of the Maskless One, a being with no given role, able to write your destiny as you see fit. You will need to defeat the Authors behind the play and usher in freedom for all by harnessing the power of Ardore. Apparantly, the actions you take will impact the narrative in some manner.

It’s giving reality warped chaos one might expect from comic books, and I’m here for it.

The combat system is supposed to be quite deep. There are more than 120 weapons for you to choose from along with 45 spells, and 8 parry modifiers. You will be able to customize your playstyle with the Path of Innovators, featuring more than 68 unlockable skills.

Judging from the trailer, you should be able to switch between long-range to mid-range to close-range combat on the fly without any kind of penalty.

Depending on the enemy you face, you will need to shatter enemy defenses with precision strikes, unleash chain parries, and then go in with a riposte attack. The gameplay allows you to turn defense into offense but with style.

As for the masks, there are 30 distinct Masks available in-game. Of course, each Mask comes with strengths and vulnerabilities. And with more than 100 diverse enemy archetypes, every Mask is supposed to play a role in completing your mission.

From what I can tell, Entoria: The Last Song has been designed to offer a whole lot of replayability. The character and level designs are also quite appealing.

Enotria: The Last Song is available for PC via Steam and Epic Games, and the PlayStation 5
