Kickstarter Campaign Launched For Gay Sci-Fi Comic “Sainted Love” by Steve Orlando and Giopota!

The Kickstarter campaign for Steve Orlando and Giopota’s gay sci-fi adventure story Sainted Love has been launched. Set in 1907’s New York City, the upcoming comic is a love story that spans time.

The two leads of the queer comic book titled Sainted Love are Malcolm “Mac” Irina and John Wolf. Malcolm has been described as the greatest inventor no one has heard of while John Wolf, Malcolm’s secret lover, is the toughest fighter in the world of underground boxing.

Things change drastically for the two men when Malcolm’s lab gets raided by The Pilgrims, a shadowy organization. The two men escape by using Malcolm’s time machine. From what I could understand, the two end up in the future. And to make things dramatic, they are separated and have to make their way to each other ASAP!

As the two leads travel through different eras, they do what they can to protect queer history from those who wish to erase it. They also develop their understanding of sexuality, make new friends, and learn a lot about themselves.

Targeted at adults, you can look forward to reading a thrilling sci-fi story that includes consensual sex-positive situations and confronting homophobes.

The initial goal for the Sainted Love Kickstarter campaign is CAD $ 6,678. As of writing this, the campaign has managed to collect more than CAD $11,757. So, yeah, it’s a success!

Take note; the current campaign is to support the special edition trade paperback of Sainted Love. Vault Comics will be releasing the single issues in August of this year at comic book stores.

Pledging USD $1,000 or more (only limited to 2) can get you personalized mentorship sessions from Steve Orlando!

While pledging USD $350 or more (only limited to 3) will get you a special custom digital commission of up to two persons or characters in a historical setting of your choice from artist Giopota.

And if you back the ‘Sainted Love – Tier’ (USD $35 or more) and higher, you will receive issues 1-3 as digital PDFs as they release in real-time, beginning Fall 2023.

All of the physical rewards will be released in 2024.
