Trailer For Dark Dystopian Dramedy “Creamerie” Season 2 Released Before Summer Premiere!
You have no idea how happy I am to know that Creamerie season 2 is actually going to air. A trailer for the upcoming season 2 of Creamerie has been released before the show’s summer debut!
I got to know about Creamerie back in April of 2021 and I have been looking forward to enjoying the second season. Trust me when I say that it’s so good! I can’t wait to see what the second installment has in store for viewers after the season one finale.
For those who might not be familiar, Creamerie is a female-driven dystopian dramedy series that is set in a world where men have basically gone extinct. The women have been trying to keep the world running after suffering such a global loss. And of course, to ensure the survival of humanity, access to sperm and being allowed to get pregnant is a whole thing. The show follows the misadventures of three friends after they run into the last surviving male (or so they think!). The narrative is filled with twists and turns around every corner as the there women try and figure out what to do with the man they found and what’s really going on in the community they live in, especially involving “Wellness” cult leader Lane.
Here’s my reaction and review video of the season one premiere!
Creamerie is from showrunner and director Roseanne Liang (Shadow in the Cloud, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and the upcoming Halle Berry and Angelina Jolie-starring Maude vs Maude). The co-creators and stars are Ally Xue, JJ Fong, and Perlina Lau. The male survivor is named Bobby and is played by Jay Ryan.
The second season of Creamerie will consist of 6 episodes (30 minutes each). The upcoming season will first premiere in New Zealand on commissioning broadcaster TVNZ’s streaming service TVNZ+ come July 14, 2023. It will be available to watch on Hulu in the U.S. later this summer. And you can watch it on SBS On Demand and SBS VICELAND in Australia on August 28, 2023.
Here’s the trailer for season 2! (I suggest you don’t watch it so as not to spoil the first season!)
While you wait, you can watch the entire first season on Hulu in the U.S. and on TVNZ+ in New Zealand. It does deal with adult themes. So, keep that in mind. It can get really dark, too.
And yes, for those wondering, the show includes queer characters.
Are you excited about Creamerie season 2?
