walking dead a New Frontier Telltale Games

Telltale has revealed a worldwide release date of 20th December 2016 for The Walking Dead: A New Frontier.

Ever since the announcement of a third season I’ve been looking forward to a release date for A New Frontier. Telltale did an amazing job with the previous two seasons and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for fans next month. The premiere episode of A New Frontier will release on 20th December 2016 for the PS4, PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Android and iOS.

The plot of A New Frontier occurs four years after the zombie-apocalypse. Players will be introduced to a new male character named Javier. He is in search of his family. Javier ends up meeting Clementine, the main character from the current series, and from there they work together. Telltale hasn’t revealed any further information about the kind of antagonists the two characters will face or about their end goals. The company did share that every choice a player makes could be their last.

Check out the teaser trailer.

You can go ahead and pre-order the first of the five-episode third season right now. Pre-ordering the digital PS4 version will provide you with free copies of The Walking Dead: Season Two and The Walking Dead: Michonne mini-series. Furthermore, pre-ordering the Steam version will give you a 10% discount on the $24.99 retail price.

The Season Pass Disc will be available for the PS4 and Xbox One starting 7th February 2017. It’ll include the first episode with upcoming episodes being accessible via digital updates. The Season Pass will retail for $29.99.

Telltale has done a great job with creating decision-based games. The company recently released episode 4 of it’s Batman series. While I didn’t find Batman: The Telltale Series as great as The Walking Dead I do hope we get a second season.
