The trailer for the upcoming release of Chucky Season 3 Part 2 shows the iconic Good Guy doll wanting to go out with a bang. Chucky’s already inside the White House and his wanting to use nuclear weapons does make sense with how things have turned out for him.

The first half of Chucky Season 3 dived into the franchise’s decades-spanning lore with Charlie trying his best to win back Damballa’s favor. His plan led him to infiltrate the White House and begin a new spree of killings. However, the cliffhanger showed that it wasn’t enough. Damballa had forsaken Chucky and he was indeed dying of old age.

The trailer for Part 2 of the third season opened with a version of Chucky who was bored with killing people. He’s lost the thrill associated with murder. I guess he’s ready to call it a day, accept his fate, and finally die. But a phone call with Tiffany’s able to reinvigorate him. If he was going to stop being immortal and travel to the afterlife, he was going to make sure people remembered the name Chucky. Charles Lee Ray was already unhinged. So, let’s see how far he’s willing to go knowing that death will be permanent for him this time around. Can he actually gain access to the nukes? Hmmm.

From what I could tell, the final four episodes making up Part 2 will dive deeper into the supernatural. It looks like Old Man Chucky will be using dark magic to mess with the remaining cast of characters trapped inside the White House. The creative concept of turning the White House into an actual haunted house is quite appealing to me.

Of course, the most exciting thing is actor Brad Dourif playing the human version of Chucky. The other versions we have seen throughout the series will also be making an appearance.

Here’s the intense trailer!

The upcoming episodes promise gore-filled deaths. Just the way I like it!

Also, kudos to the creative team for how they managed to incorporate “I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor. So good!

Depending on how you look at it, the song can relate to Old Man Chucky’s will to live or you can link it to the human cast trying to make it out alive.

As shown in the trailer, the iconic John Waters will be joining the cast as Wendell Wilkins. According to Syfy, Wendell Wilkins has been described as the “reclusive creator of the Good Guy dolls” who somehow finds himself drawn into the current chaotic situation.

For those who might not know, this isn’t Waters’ first time entering the popular Child’s Play IP. Waters played the paparazzi Pete Peters in 2004’s Seed of Chucky. His character died, but such deaths haven’t stopped actors from returning to the franchise under a different role. Devon Sawa alone has played four different characters across the three seasons. Five if you count Chucky taking over Father Bryce’s body.

Chucky Season 3 Part 2  will debut on April 10, 2024, on USA and Syfy. You can also stream the show on Peacock.
