Pokémon Sun and Moon Confirmed to Hit 3DS This Year!

Pokemon Sun and Moon Title

Nintendo has confirmed the existence of the next-generation of Pokémon games, and it is coming out this holiday season on the Nintendo 3DS!

The titles are Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. There isn’t much detail about the new kind of Pokémon that players will encounter in the game. However, if you watch the tidbits shown in the announcement trailer, you can make out some new designs for the Pokémon Centre, a few buildings, and the presence of a lot of trucks in the game. There also appears to be some sort of Water Type Pokémon Gym in the trailer. Fingers crossed it is a hint regarding Misty’s cameo in the anime adaptation of the game.

Nintendo is celebrating the franchise’s 20th anniversary with full force. They are giving out rare Pokémon to players and plan to release a whole bunch of Pokémon games this year. I was actually expecting a Pokémon Z to come out after the X and Y series, but I guess the company had other plans.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on any exciting news regarding the upcoming game.

What do you think about Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon? Are you excited to encounter the next-generation of Pokémon? Let us know!
