Breaking Glass Pictures continues to bring some interesting queer content for all. The company has acquired the global rights to the documentary Pornstar Pandemic: The Guys. It is an intimate examination of LGBTQ adult actors and their lives during the current unfortunate situation. It will be available on DVD and major VOD platforms come July 28, 2020.

According to the press release, the upcoming documentary has been directed by adult director Edward “EJ” James, and executive produced by Breaking Glass CEO Rich Wolff. We know that productions around the world have halted due to what everyone is going through. So, getting to see how the adult entertainment industry is fairing does pique my curiosity.

The upcoming documentary investigates the daily lives and routines of some of the gay adult film’s biggest and newest names, covering all angles of the entertainment industry including gay to bisexual to gay-for-pay.

The impetus behind this documentary was the fact that audiences rarely see behind-the-scenes of what adult performers do when they are not in front of the camera,” said EJ. “Their lives are often more similar to the average person than many think, and we wanted to explore that, especially during our current situation. We’re all in this together, and it’s important to highlight that fact.”

The official description reads:

Pornstar Pandemic: The Guys features three of the top adult stars in the industry, quarantined and living their lives in stasis. Follow along with Dante Colle, Pierce Paris, DeAngelo Jackson, as well as two newcomers (no pun intended) Elijah Wilde and Jack Loft. The doc features the actors during their daily activities, along with their personal thoughts on the current state of the industry and their own roles in it, how the shutdown has affected their lives and livelihood, and what’s next once everyone can return to work.

I was curious what other industries looked like during the shutdown,” said Wolff. “One night, EJ and I were catching up, and I asked what his talent was up to while their business was more or less closed. We ultimately decided to find out.”

The documentary features Alter Sin, Alex Lecomte, Dante Colle, DeAngelo Jackson, Pierce Paris, Jack Loft, and Elijah Wilde.

It has been produced by Edward James “EJ”, Alter Sin, Rich Wolff, and Susan Helfrich.

The New York Daily News and The Wrap recently had some interesting articles that helped give an idea about the hardships (and certain benefits) adult film actors (straight and queer) happen to be experiencing right now.

With how every kind of community is coming together to help each other, the adult film industry seems to be no different. The Free Speech Coalition is providing funds and organizing workshops (involving established adult film performers) to help fellow actors with earning some kind of income.

Reuters did an interesting piece on how the adult entertainment industry could offer some tips for safe working conditions as Hollywood goes back to opening certain productions.

I wonder what the upcoming documentary will let us know.
