Star Wars Celebration 2027 Tickets Go on Sale May 6th!

With it being Star Wars Day, May the 4th, and with the finale of Maul: Shadow Lord, we turn our attention to the sale of Star Wars Celebration 2027, April 1st-4th, 2027, in Los Angeles. Here is everything that we know (as of publishing) to prepare you for the May 6th ticket sale.
The official Star Wars Celebration website is where you can find all this information. But as someone who attended in the past, Anaheim in 2022, I wanted to share what you can expect when the sale kicks off at 12 pm PT this Wednesday.
Star Wars Celebration is a 4-day… well, celebration of everything Star Wars. There will be panels, large and small, cosplay, parties, shopping, and the Galaxy Stage, where Lucasfilm will be streaming to YouTube the entire weekend.
As for my advice, I will be getting on the StarWarsCelebration.com website around 11 am PT, Wednesday, May 6th, to enter the online queue. This is not like San Diego Comic-Con, where you need to preregister to enter the online queue. All you need to do is go to the official website before tickets go on sale to join the virtual line.
The tickets this year are $1210.99 for VIP, 4-Day passes will be $260.99, Friday through Sunday single-day passes will be $91, with Thursday being $76. Four-day kids passes will be $105.99, Friday through Sunday single-day kids passes will be $46, and Thursday will be $36.
From what I have been able to find out, there are no planned large panels scheduled for Thursday, April 1st. Some have speculated that Lucasfilm will be promoting fans to venture over to the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art about 15 to 20 minutes down the road. The museum is scheduled to open in September of this year, so that would make sense.
One of the major points Star Wars fans have been raising after the announcement of Los Angeles being this year’s home was why not Anaheim? The Anaheim Convention Center is across the street from Disneyland. It is a large campus, and several dozen hotels are nearby.
Well, right next door to the Los Angeles Convention Center is the Crypto Arena, home of the Lakers and Clippers NBA teams. That arena holds 20,000 people. I wouldn’t be surprised if that is where the large announcement panels are held. D23 does something similar with the Toyota Center, home of the Mighty Ducks of the NHL, which is right down the street from Disneyland.
No word yet on which panels could be held at Crypto Arena, or if there will be an extra charge to attend those panels. What I expect to happen, though, is future project announcements. Star Wars: Starfighter will release at the end of May 2027, so there will be something for that. But also, future movies will be announced, with possible dates, along with new series…
AND… it is the 50th anniversary of Star Wars: A New Hope‘s release in theaters. So, I expect a large celebration for the movie, including the making of, everything that came from the first Star Wars film, and even a screening of the film. How much fun is it going to be to be in an arena, with 20,000 other Star Wars fans, watching the movie that started it all? I hope this happens.
Currently, the guests announced for the weekend include Hayden Christensen (Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader), Ian McDiarmid (Emperor Palpatine), and Anthony Daniels (C-3PO). The lineup also features voice actors Dee Bradley Baker and Michelle Ang (Omega) from The Bad Batch. This is not the end of the guests who will be in attendance. Who do you want to see?
Some preorder merch has also been announced and will be available to purchase when you pick up your passes. Here are some examples.

Right now, hotels, at convention rates, will also be available on Wednesday, May 6th. No current information is available on which hotels and their associated prices.
I am working with a group of friends that will also be going, to make sure we are all in the same hotel and can plan dinners and parties together. If you are going with a large group, this might be a good idea.
If you are a Star Wars fan and have never attended a Celebration, please do. It is amazing to be around so many like-minded fans who love this galaxy far, far away. Do whatever you can to get to a Celebration. I hope to see you there.
May the force be with you.
