The Expanse Season 4 Signing Poster at SDCC 2019

At SDCC today, Amazon Prime Video dropped a TON of new information and a new teaser trailer for The Expanse Season 4. And not gonna lie, it looks EPIC.

Not only did we receive a ton of new photos and the plot of The Expanse season 4, Amazon Prime Video provided us with brand new footage and the first teaser trailer for season 4. After SyFy made a major mistake and axed The Expanse, the outcry and backlash prompted Amazon Prime video to come speeding to the rescue and resurrect the sci-fi space drama.

Amazon Prime Video premiered the teaser trailer for season 4 during The Expanse panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 in the Indigo Ballroom. The panel featured series actors Steven Strait, Wes Chatham, Dominique Tipper, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Cas Anvar, Frankie Adams and executive producers Ty Franck and Naren Shankar.

From the official press release:

Season 4 of The Expanse, its first as a global Amazon Original, begins a new chapter for the series with the crew of the Rocinante on a mission from the U.N. to explore new worlds beyond the Ring Gate. Humanity has been given access to thousands of Earth-like planets which has created a land rush and furthered tensions between the opposing nations of Earth, Mars and the Belt. Ilus is the first of these planets, one rich with natural resources but also marked by the ruins of a long dead alien civilization. While Earthers, Martians and Belters maneuver to colonize Ilus and its natural resources, these early explorers don’t understand this new world and are unaware of the larger dangers that await them.

As well as the teaser, we also received a clip of Rocinante landing on Ilus. Season 4 will premiere on Prime Video on December 13, 2019, but we anticipate more videos, trailers, and photos as we draw closer to the series premiere date and, of course, you can expect The Geekiary to keep you in the loop on everything.
