“The Gilded Age” Season 3 Releases Trailer Before June Premiere!

Fans of the highly entertaining The Gilded Age can enjoy a teaser trailer before the third season hits TV screens come June 22, 2025, on HBO.
Period drama The Gilded Age season 3 is all set to debut on June 22, 2025, at 9 PM ET/PT on HBO and streaming on Max. The show continues the story after the events that transpired during the second season’s finale, with a huge change occurring in Agnes and Ada’s lives.
Having read the official description for the third chapter, Bertha Russell (Carrie Coon) is ready to take on yet another challenge to help her climb New York’s social ladder after having won the Opera War. Involving her daughter Gladys (Taissa Farmiga), there’s going to be a lot of talk about Gladys’ upcoming wedding with the Duke of Buckingham (Ben Lamb). Knowing Gladys, she’s understandably unhappy about being married off in such a manner. She’s someone who wants to marry for love.
However, as Bertha and her husband George (Morgan Spector) put it, such a marriage can be a “real opportunity” for the family. If Gladys plays her cards right, she’ll give birth to important children, can have an impact on politics, shape certain events, and other such things. I wouldn’t be surprised if Gladys ends up agreeing with the sentiments of her parents.
Talking about romance, Marian (Louisa Jacobson) and Larry (Harry Richardson) will continue their budding romantic relationship after sharing a kiss during the season two finale. Agnes (Christine Baranski) isn’t really a fan of the Russells. So, it will be interesting to see what she thinks of Marian wanting to marry Larry. As for my opinion, I kind of liked Larry and Marian as platonic friends, but oh well. I know many in the fandom are rooting for them to succeed.
Peggy (Denée Benton) will find herself falling for a handsome doctor from Newport. While those two seem to be getting along, the doctor’s family won’t be pleased by Peggy’s career. I just want Peggy to be happy. I have my fingers crossed that her relationship with the doctor works out for the best.
More drama will be caused by Agnes refusing to accept Ada (Cynthia Nixon) becoming the head of the house after Ada came into a whole lot of money due to her husband’s passing. While making for some fun interactions, I think the sisters will reach an understanding down the line.
In the business side of things, George “risks everything on a gambit that could revolutionize the railroad industry – if it doesn’t ruin him first.”
I mean, I get that it’s important for the narrative to highlight New York’s development, but frankly, I’m the least interested in whatever George’s going to be involved in. Also, I don’t see the Russells losing a whole bunch of money. I think Bertha’s narrative journey is building toward her getting everything she wants, yet she will still feel unsatisfied or realize that the sacrifices she had to make along the way weren’t worth it.

The Gilded Age was created by Downton Abbey‘s Julian Fellowes. The show debuted back in January 2022 and has aired 17 episodes over two seasons.
