Geekiary News Briefs! Resident Evil: Vendetta, Sense8 Trailer, Aftermath Finale, and More!

Resident Evil Vendetta Capcom Leon Chris Rebecca

Welcome to today’s TheGeekiary News Briefs! We share new information about Resident Evil: Vendetta, the finales for Aftermath and Eyewitness, Naruto Shippuden Funko Pop! Series and more!

While I’m looking forward to watching Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, I’m more excited about Resident Evil: Vendetta. The upcoming animated film has been given a May 27, 2017, release date. It will follow Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield, and Rebecca Chambers as they race against time to save the world from a new virus. The story is set after the events of Resident Evil 6. My ‘to-buy’ Funko Pop! list keeps on growing. The Naruto Shippuden series will be released in February 2017. The first wave includes Kakashi, Sakura, Tobi, and some cool looking versions of Naruto. (via Funko)

NECA will be adding an adorable life-size Baby Groot figure to their roster in April next year. Even though I’m not a Guardians of the Galaxy fan I can’t deny all the cuteness that is Baby Groot. (via CBR)

A new trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s Trollhunters has been released by Netflix. The plot for the computer-animated series revolves around Jim Lake, Jr. He finds himself becoming the first human Trollhunter. The series is set for a December 23, 2016 release. (via CBR)

A new trailer for the upcoming Sense8 Christmas Special was recently released. The two-hour special will premiere on December 23, 2017. It will be followed by the rest of the second season on May 5, 2017. Judging by the trailer, Wolfgang is in trouble for killing his uncle. Furthermore, Sun is still in jail, Whispers is after the Sensates, and I think Lito is going to face his family because of his sexuality.

The first season finale of Aftermath will air on December 20, 2017. The Copelands have been facing natural disasters and supernatural beings during the end of the world. Will they be able to survive pieces of the moon racing towards Earth?

Queer-themed drama Eyewitness will be airing its season one finale this Sunday. The show has connected with a very passionate fandom. Also, they are trying to get 1 million viewers for the finale and get it greenlit for a second season. So, if you aren’t doing anything on December 18, 2017, make sure to check out Eyewitness at 10/9C on USA Network.

Are you excited for Resident Evil: Vendetta? Looking forward to Sense8? Feel free to share your thoughts about today’s TheGeekiary News Briefs!
