“Adventure Time: Distant Lands” Gets Blu-ray and DVD Release This March!

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will be releasing Adventure Time: Distant Lands on Blu-ray and DVD come March 8, 2022.

If you were unable to watch the Emmy-nominated HBO Max Original Adventure Time: Distant Lands on streaming or want to own a physical copy, the upcoming home release is for you. The Blu-ray and DVD will include the four animated specials from the limited series. The Blu-ray will be priced at $19.98 SRP ($24.98 in Canada) with the DVD being available for $14.98 SRP ($19.98 in Canada).

Based on the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning animated series, Adventure Time, created by Pendleton Ward and executive produced by Adam Muto, Adventure Time: Distant Lands took fans on a journey to explore unseen corners of the long-running animated series. 

The Four Specials are:

• BMO – follows the lovable little robot from Adventure Time. When there’s a deadly space emergency in the farthest reaches of the galaxy, there’s only one hero to call, and it’s probably not BMO. Except that this time it is!
• Obsidian – features Marceline & Princess Bubblegum as they journey to the imposing, beautiful Glass Kingdom—and deep into their tumultuous past—to prevent an earthshaking catastrophe.
• Together Again – brings best buds Finn and Jake together again to rediscover their brotherly bond and embark on the most important adventure of their lives.
• Wizard City – follows Peppermint Butler, starting over at the beginning, as just another inexperienced Wizard School student. When mysterious events at the campus cast suspicion on Pep, and his checkered past, can he master the mystic arts in time to prove his innocence?

Produced by Cartoon Network Studios, all four specials are available for you to stream right now exclusively on HBO Max. 

As for the home release, the video is presented in 16×9 widescreen format. The running time comes in at approximately 3 hours.

The first season of the award-winning and popular Adventure Time animated series debuted back in April of 2010. It ran for an impressive 10 seasons with the series finale airing in September of 2018. The series has been praised for its narrative themes and queer representation.

Adventure Time: Distant Lands debuted on June 25, 2020. The fourth special aired on September 2, 2021.
