Adam Driver Starring “65” Gets Digital, 4K UHD and Blu-ray Release This May!
Adam Driver’s latest sci-fi film 65 became available to fans on Digital today. The 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD release will follow come May 30, 2023.
Starring Adam Driver and Ariana Greenblatt, 65 deals with pilot Mills (Driver) crashing on an unknown planet. But Mills soon realizes that he’s on Earth. However, the catch is that it’s the version of Earth that existed 65 million years ago. While trying to get off prehistoric Earth, Mills also runs into another survivor, a young girl named Koa (Greenblatt). Together they have to figure out an escape plan while trying not to be killed by vicious dinosaurs at every turn. And of course, the drama is delivered through Mills’ relationship with his own family (that included a young daughter) that he left behind due to taking up a particular task.
65 has been written and directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods. The producers include Sam Raimi, Deborah Liebling, Zainab Azizi, Beck, and Woods. The executive producers are Maryann Brandon, Doug Merrifield, Jason Cloth, and Aaron L. Gilbert.
The Special Features in the 4K UHD, Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital versions include:
- Deleted & Extended Scenes
- Creating the world of 65
- Primordial Plane
- Final Showdown: Concepts to screen
- And more!
The approximate runtime comes in at 93 minutes. 65 has been rated PG-13 for intense sci-fi action and peril, and brief bloody images.
The movie was released in the US on March 10, 2023. With a reported budget of $45 million, as of writing this, it has grossed more than $56 million at the worldwide box office.
As someone who watched 65, I would say that it is a totally serviceable sci-fi flick. It didn’t reinvent the wheel or anything when it comes to dinosaur movies. And while I wanted it to have more dinos in it, I did find my overall experience to be “it was fine” when the credits began to roll.
Did you watch 65? What did you think of it?
