Welcome to the latest Geekiary News Briefs! We will be covering the casting for The CW Batwoman pilot, the Resident Evil TV series, GLAAD deciding to boycott Bohemian Rhapsody, Chris Pine’s involvement in Wonder Woman 3, and more!

The Batwoman pilot does sound very exciting. According to Deadline, Meagan Tandy (Teen Wolf), Camrus Johnson (Luke Cage), and Nicole Kang (You) have been cast in lead roles opposite Ruby Rose. That’s a very diverse main cast. Let’s see if the network decides to greenlight an entire series. Also, Greg Berlanti needs to find a way to get Dylan O’Brien to become part of the Arrowverse and give us the Hobrien (O’Brien/Hoechlin) reunion we deserve!

While we know Chris Pine as Steve Trevor is going to part of Wonder Woman 2, Pine thinks he might not be a part of the third film in the franchise.

The nominations for the GLAAD 2019 Media Awards have been released and the organization has decided to take a stand against Bryan Singer’s Bohemian Rhapsody. While GLAAD is doing its part, Singer is reportedly going to be paid up to $10 million for directing Red Sonja.

I’m kind of surprised The Legends of Tomorrow wasn’t nominated by GLAAD considering it has queer characters as the leads.

The cast for RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 11 has been revealed. I don’t know any of the queens except Vanessa Vanjie-Mateo.

The Resident Evil franchise will never die. There seems to be a Resident Evil TV show in the works at Netflix. Are you excited about it? I mean, I know the film series isn’t the best, but I’m here for anything Resident Evil!

Vin Diesel has announced a female-led Fast and Furious spin-off. Now, while I would have preferred the women to be written better in the main series, I’m also glad they will get their own film. Here’s to hoping it does well at the box office.
