DC Comics: Girl Power Brain Boosters – Review

The DC Comics: Girl Power Brain Boosters activity book from Downtown Bookworks is all about helping kids have fun while solving engaging puzzles. Of course, the retro art style returns.

I was provided a free copy of DC Comics: Girl Power Brain Boosters for review. The opinions are my own. 

DC Comics: Girl Power Brain Boosters by Sarah Parvis is one of the new releases in Downtown Bookwork’s DC Comics-inspired Fall lineup. It reminded me of DC Comics: My Girl Power Journal. Also, while I appreciate the book being catered to young girls, don’t let that stop you from buying it for any little boys you might have in your family.

Both girls and boys in my family had fun going through the pages in this book. It was kind of tough to help them decide how to take turns when solving certain puzzles they were really interested in. So, buying more than one copy will help you there.

There is a range of puzzles to solve and activities to do including spotting differences, crosswords, word ladders, mazes, memory testers, word searches, and a whole lot more. Of course, an answer key is provided.

This softcover activity book (144 full-color pages) will cost you MSRP $12.99 (US) and $14.99 (CAN). The dimensions are 7.375″ x 9″. It is meant for ages 8 and up.
