With a planned June 9, 2023, release date, the upcoming survival-horror game Greyhill Incident allows players to experience what’s it like to survive during an alien invasion. The game has released a new trailer showcasing the eerie atmosphere.

Developed by Refugium Games, Greyhill Incident will launch for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox come June 9, 2023. You can go ahead and Wishlist the title on Steam right now.

The story is set during the early 90s. You will play as Ryan Baker. He has been described as an average guy who finds himself way over his head when an alien invasion occurs. Ryan is only equipped with a baseball bat and a revolver (with limited bullets) as he tries to make sense of what’s happening in the small neighborhood of Greyhill.

Conspiracy theories abound in the narrative, with the residents of Greyhill being scared and paranoid due to the increase in recent paranormal activities. These people trust none one, especially not the government. It’s one of the reasons they aren’t into calling and are avoiding the police. They have, however, boarded up their windows and created a neighborhood watch.

The objective seems to be making your way through the area to save a neighbor in trouble. On your journey, you will need to solve puzzles and meet residents that can offer aid. Resource management is crucial due to scarcity.

The battle mechanic does include being able to hit the aliens and even shoot them. However, you can tell that it would be best to use stealth (or just run!) to progress through the game.

I’m not the biggest fan of first-person perspective games, but I sure like horror-survival titles. That is why I have to say that the new trailer does make the setting look very appealing to horror-survival fans. From the design to the lighting, that’s one creepy neighborhood. I love it!

I don’t know how to feel about the aliens, though. The way they come at you feels odd. Will my character be hurt by simply being touched by them? Will one grab Ryan and call his friends over as I try to free Ryan from its grasp? I would like to know.

Anyway, are you looking forward to playing Greyhill Incident?
