Cast Revealed for Charity-Focused “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” Season 9
The cast for the upcoming live-action reality competition series RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 9 has been revealed. For the first time in Drag Race All Stars IP herstory, the contestants will compete to donate the prize money to a charity of their choosing.
The announcement came from Paramount+ and World of Wonder. The ninth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars will include 8 contestants. The grand prize is a whopping $200,000, but as mentioned, all of that money will be donated to the charity of the winner’s choosing.
The grand prize is via The Palette Fund. It’s a private foundation focused on breaking down barriers and doing what’s possible to advance social change in under-resourced communities that face significant challenges.
RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season 9 will debut come May 17, 2024, on Paramount+ with a two-episode season premiere. The show will be hosted by RuPaul. New episodes will air every Friday. The season is accompanied by RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars: Untucked to offer fans a behind-the-scenes look at the completion.
The familiar cast and their charities include:
- Angeria Paris VanMichaels (Season 14) – Finishing 3rd place in her season, Angeria’s playing for the National Bank Justice Collective.
- Gottmik (Season 13) – Securing 3rd place in her season, Gottmik’s playing for Trans Lifeline.
- Jorgeous (Season 14) – Coming in at 7th place, Jorgeous will be playing for the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
- Nina West (Season 11) – Placing 6th in her season, she’s playing for The Trevor Project.
- Plastique Tiara (Season 11) – Coming in at 8th place, Plastique Tiara’s playing for The Asian American Foundation.
- Roxxxy Andrews (Season 5, All Stars Season 2) – A Runner-up in her season and then securing 4th place during All Stars, Roxxxy’s playing for Miracle of Love.
- Shannel (Season 1, All Stars Season 1) – Placing 4th in her original season and then coming in at 3rd place during All Stars, Shannel’s going to play for the Anxiety and Depression Association of America.
- Vanessa Vanjie (Season 10, Season 11) – Being the first to be eliminated in her original season and then securing 5th place during RuPaul’s Drag Race season 11, Miss Vanjie’s playing for ASPCA.
