Both companies are holding a one-night Fathom Events screening in more than 300 theaters on September 15, 2016. A multi-city national theatrical release in major US cities is also planned.

Six anime films are included in the Digimon Adventure tri project. Reunion and Determination were released in Japan in November, 2015 and March, 2016 respectively. The third film, titled Confession, is set to open in Japan on the 24th of September, 2016. It will have a three week run.

I enjoyed watching both Reunion and Determination. It was fun to see the original cast back together. The Digimon franchise has received success with the Adventure tri project. The franchise is also preparing for the release of Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters. The new anime features a new cast of characters and plot.
