Documentary “Living With Chucky” Gets April Screambox Debut!

Cinedigm and Bloody Disgusting have announced that they will be premiering the horror documentary Living With Chucky on the horror streaming service Screambox as well as all major digital platforms come April 4, 2023, in the USA and Canada.

One of the things that have made me interested in watching Living With Chucky is how the upcoming documentary offers a different perspective. It has been written and directed by Kyra Elise Gardner, the daughter of legendary special effects artist Tony Gardner. She basically grew up with the iconic franchise.

The documentary features interviews with cast and crew from the Child’s Play franchise, including Brad Dourif, Jennifer Tilly, Alex Vincent, creator Don Mancini, and many more.

The narrative goes over the history of the decades-spanning franchise, and Gardner shares her own relationship with Chucky and the impact the franchise had on her family. Not only that, but Gardner also seeks out other families that were involved with the Child’s Play films and what it meant to be part of the “Chucky” family.

You can watch the trailer below. As a longtime fan of the Child’s Play franchise, I can listen to the cast and crew talk about the IP for hours! They all love the franchise, and you have to give props to Don Mancini and his creative team for managing to successfully keep the IP alive.

While fans wait for the debut of Chucky season 3, at least they have this particular documentary to look forward to. The runtime is said to be approximately 100 minutes.

As for Screambox (powered by Bloody Disgusting), the horror-centric streaming service is available on iOS, Android, Prime Video, YouTube TV, Comcast, Cox, and the official screambox.com website. From episodes to classic horror movies and more, there’s a lot for the fans of the horror genre to explore.
