“Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls” Video Game Gets Announcement Trailer!

An official announcement trailer for the upcoming fighting video game Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has been released and I’m super excited about playing it!
Yeah, I’ll have to wait until 2026 to get my hands on Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, but hey, the trailer has me hyped. Not only does it look visually stunning, with the iconic Marvel Comics characters receiving anime-inspired designs, but yes, Storm will be part of the initial roster. And she looks good!
The project is from PlayStation Studios, Arc System Works (Arc), and Marvel Games. The game was showcased by Arc during Sony’s State of Play event on Wednesday.
It has been described as a 4v4 tag team fighting game. The trailer shows the ability to “switch between” or “summon” the 4 characters to ensure victory. Of course, every character comes with their unique fighting style and powerset. The debut roster includes Captain America, Iron Man, Storm, Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan), Ghost Rider, Doom, and Star-Lord.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls will be released for the PS5 and Steam/PC sometime in 2026. I’ll be keeping an eye on this project. I’m a fan of 2.5D fighting games like Tekken and Street Fighter. So, I think I’ll enjoy what this title will bring to the table.
Here’s the action-packed trailer!
Kudos to the creative team who thought of having Spider-Man and Kamala Khan fight each other (the two are friends in the comic books), as well as having Storm come in to beat Doctor Doom (again, two characters with history). Storm faced Doom during her current solo comic book series. She’s also dealing with Doom as part of the Avengers during the ‘One World Under Doom’ storyline.
Seeing Storm having major roles in the Marvel Comic Book space as well as new video games (Marvel Rivals, Marvel Cosmic Invasion, Marvel Mystic Mayhem) makes me happy as a fan of Ororo Munroe. She deserves such a push.
