PvP Game “Marvel Contest of Champions” Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Kabam going all in while celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the player-vs-player mobile video game Marvel Contest of Champions. You can enjoy a whole of free content right now!

Kabam did an hour-and-a-half-long livestream recapping the decade and going over what players can expect to enjoy during the celebrations and down the line as the game continues to grow.

The all-new original in-game character named Isophyne got the spotlight. First revealed at New York Comic Con, you can get Isophyne as a playable character in The Battlerealm. She has been described as “a living iso-sphere” and is an artificial lifeform meant to protect the Battlerealm. She’s voiced by actress Erika Ishii who also narrates the MCoC’s Annual Trailer ‘Rise of the Eidols’. The Founders are coming!

Let’s go over the 10-Year Anniversary Events and Feature Updates!

The Grand Banquet

The Banquet Event is making a return. The celebrations feature special Calendars, Quests, Double Track, and Realm Events. There are also holiday gifts, crystals, and more.

The Grand Banquet also features a new event known as the Glorious Guardians Banquet Box. If you can acquire 6 Banquet Keys throughout objectives in The Contest, you will be given all 6 Glorious Guardians (Purgatory, Medusa, Black Panther [Civil War], Deadpool [X-Force], Sentry, and Sentinel).

Grand 10×10 Supply Drop

Take note; from December 10 through December 19, 2024, at 4 PM PT, new as well as existing players can check in daily to be rewarded with a free Champion during the Grand 10×10 Supply Drop.

All Summoners who check in for the full drop will get a free Isophyne. Also, Summoners that are Paragon or higher will be receiving 10x 7-Star Champions for free.

  • Day 1 – December 10, 2024 – Spider-Man (Classic)
  • Day 2 – December 11, 2024 – Gambit
  • Day 3 – December 12, 2024 – Gwenpool
  • Day 4 – December 13, 2024 – Iron Man (Infinity War)
  • Day 5 – December 14, 2024 – Guillotine 2099
  • Day 6 – December 15, 2024 – Storm (Pyramid X)
  • Day 7 – December 16, 2024 – Jabari Panther
  • Day 8 – December 17, 2024 – Wiccan
  • Day 9 – December 18, 2024 – Vox
  • Day 10 – December 19, 2024 – Isophyne

You might have missed some of the character rewards, but there’s still time to get the ones that are coming up through the rest of the week.

Summoner Level Cap Increase

Increases are coming for item capacity, you can add new cosmetics, and the Summoner Levels are being raised to Level 70.

You can currently view up to Level 65 with Levels 66-70 coming in 2025.

Menu Background Visual Overhaul

The 3D backgrounds in the Home Screen and Crystal Vault have been updated. The character visuals have been improved and the Environment scenes have been updated. There are no more loading screens in and out of the Crystal Vault.

Website Redesign

The official website has also been redesigned. Kabam has updated the Marvel Contest of Champions Home page and the Champion Spotlights page. An Events page has been added to ease navigation.

Glorious Guardian Reworks

Sentry, Sentinel, and Deadpool (X-Force) will be buffed. Champions Medusa (2017), Purgatory (2021), and 2014’s Black Panther (Civil War) have already been given the new treatment.

Summoner’s Choice Champion Vote 2025

Fans can look forward to voting in the MCoC’s annual fan vote event to choose the next Champion entering The Battlerealm.

Available for iOS and Android devices, Marvel Contest of Champions debuted back in 2014. It has gone on to include more than 280 playable Champions and has millions of players worldwide. And it looks like the development team has no wish to stop expanding the game anytime soon.
