“Shameless: The Complete Series” Debuts on DVD This March!
Fans of the long-running comedy/drama Shameless live-action series will be able to own all of the Shameless seasons on DVD come March 18, 2025.
Even though individual seasons of the US version of Shameless are available on DVD, this will be the first time the entire show will be made available on DVD. So, yeah, courtesy of Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment Shameless: The Complete Series on DVD will include all 134 episodes across 11 seasons to add to your collection. Are you ready to rewatch all of the Gallavich scenes? I sure am!
Based on the British series of the same name (which lasted from January 2004 to May 2013 across 11 seasons), the upcoming complete release of the American version of Shameless on DVD will include previously released special features. Now, while I appreciate the home release having extra content, I do feel that the first-ever DVD release of the entire series should have included some original extra content for fans to enjoy. I wouldn’t have minded some kind of reunion special with the cast, even if it was via Zoom or something.
Anyway, you can go ahead and pre-order Shameless: The Complete Series on DVD right now on Amazon before the March 18,2 2025, debut. According to the listing, has 34 discs.
The cast includes William H. Macy, Emmy Rossum, Jeremy Allen White, Cameron Monaghan, Emma Kenney, Ethan Cutkosky, Shanola Hampton, Steve Howey, and Noel Fisher.
The show was created by Paul Abbott. It was produced by John Wells Productions and Warner Bros. Television. It was developed for American television and executive produced by John Wells.
The 11 seasons focused on the Gallagher family with the useless patriarch Frank Gallagher (Macy) constantly butting heads with his six kids. The eldest daughter, Fiona Gallagher (Rossum), has no choice but to take on the task of looking after her younger siblings. The narrative focused on showcasing issues faced by Americans living below or very close to the poverty line. It tackled homophobia, racism, sexism, parental abuse, and so much more.
It debuted back in January 2011, with the series finale airing in April 2021. Even though Rossum unfortunately left the show after season 9, the rest of the OG Gallaghers remained throughout. Most of the cast (and viewers) basically grew up together. Wow!
The show will continue to live on in queer spaces due to giving the world one of the most popular ships via Gallavich, the pairing between Ian Gallagher (Cameron Monaghan) and Mickey Milkovich (Noel Fisher).
I covered the Gallavich scenes from the final two seasons through episode review and reaction videos over on The Geekiary YouTube channel. Do consider subscribing because I cover a bunch of queer content over there even content I don’t always talk about on this website.
As for the specifications, the audio of the DVD release will be English SDH. It will have English subtitles. The approximate Running Time is over 7,500 minutes. The show has been rated TV-MA so be prepared for a barrage of sexual content, including quite a lot of nudity.
Are you a fan of Shameless? Will you be picking up the entire series on DVD?
