“Monopoly: RuPaul’s Drag Race” Board Game Available For Pre-Order!
Fans of the long-running iconic RuPaul’s Drag Race franchise can finally own an RPDR-inspired Monopoly board game!
Usaopoly (The Op Games), under license from Hasbro, has made Monopoly: RuPaul’s Drag Race available for pre-order. The game, in collaboration with World of Wonder, can be yours for CAD $62 (approximately USD $44.99). The game is expected to be shipped come June 20, 2023.
The board game’s official reveal occurred during RuPaul’s DragCon 2023, taking place in Los Angeles. It was exclusively available to attendees at the World of Wonder merch booth.
Sticking to the Drag Race theme, players will need to move around the board to buy, sell, and trade iconic locations from the multiple-award-winning reality competition. Locations include the Winner’s Circle, Judges Panel, All Stars Hall of Fame, and more. The Houses have been converted into Badges while the Hotels are now Crowns. And the currency is called Ru Dollars because… why not?
As for the player tokens, you can choose between a Checkered Flag, a Roll of Duct Tape, Lipstick, Reading Glasses, a Purse, and a Chocolate Bar. Of course, the usual Chance and Community Cards have been renamed “Mini Challenge” and “Maxi Challenge” cards, respectively.
Going over the promo material, I like how the center of the board depicts the Werk Room. As for the properties, you can buy The Kenndey Devenport Center and even the Porkchop Loading Dock. And The All Stars Hall of Fame is, of course, the most expensive property to own.
I’m so here for this version of Monopoly!
