Tactical TCG ‘Summoners Fantasy’ Releasing on 11th August, 2016 on iOS
While playing strategic card games is hard enough, Summoners Fantasy will amp up the action further when it launches on August 11th, 2016 for the iOS.
I got into such games because of Pokemon TCG. While I don’t have any favorites, I do end up enjoying a lot of tactical card games I play. Summoners Fantasy is an upcoming tactical TCG that’ll make players really think about their every move. Instead of fighting one character at a time, cards have the ability to attack or get attacked from any side!
Here’s the official description:
“Venture into the mystical land of Alpha Terra, where legends are told of the Master Summoner — a mighty being who sealed Gods, Demons, and other beasts into magical cards. Preserving the Master’s legacy, Summoners across the land duel each other for the right to become the next Master Summoner.
In Summoners Fantasy, challenge your opponents to duels using your collection of monsters and deities in a fight to control the most spaces on a battle grid. Each card has four numbers representing its strength. Players place cards on the grid, which makes them attack adjacent cards. If the attacking card has a higher strength value, it wins the battle — and converts the enemy card to your team!”
Summoners Fantasy features four different game modes: Normal, Veil, Elements, and Engaged. PVP battles can also be fought.
Similar to other such games, the unneeded cards can be sold for ‘Essence’ which can be used to power-up the cards you prefer. Cards can also be combined. Furthermore, they can be given special bonuses through Runes and Gems.
I like the overall anime design of the cards, and the gameplay does look interesting. Check out the trailer!

Summoners Fantasy will be available for free through the Apple App Store on the 11th of August, 2016. However, in-app purchases can be made. It has been developed by Darknights and is the studio’s first title.
