Telltale Games Announces New Seasons for Batman, The Walking Dead, and The Wolf Among Us
Telltale Games has announced new seasons for three of its popular franchises. Get ready for new adventures in Telltale Games’ Batman, The Walking Dead, and The Wolf Among Us series.
The first game fans can look forward to is the second season of Telltale’s Batman. The five-episode installment from Telltale Games will debut on August 8, 2017. I enjoyed playing the first season. It changed the lore from the comic books to give us something different. Players can also carry over the decisions they made back in the first season into the upcoming story.
Here’s the official synopsis for Batman: The Enemy Within!
In this latest chapter, both Bruce Wayne and Batman will be forced into precarious new roles. The Riddler has returned to terrorize Gotham City, but his gruesome puzzles merely foreshadow an even greater crisis. With the arrival of a ruthless federal agent and the return of a still nascent Joker, Batman must navigate uneasy alliances while Bruce Wayne undertakes a perilous series of deceptions. Which of Batman’s new allies will you choose to trust? And how deep into the darkness will you let Bruce descend?
All I need is more Batman and Catwoman interactions and I’ll be happy!
Furthermore, Telltale Games also revealed that The Walking Dead game franchise will be concluding with its fourth and final season. It will debut sometime in 2018. The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – The Final Season (working title) will focus on Clementine. The last time we saw her, she decided to go on her own to find AJ.
“It’s going to be an amazing experience. Thank you all so much, from the bottom of my heart,” said Melissa Hutchison, the award-winning actress who has been the voice of ‘Clementine’ since 2012. “It’s been a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, and so much love has been behind this whole experience. Good luck, I’ll be right there with you.”
The third announcement is for The Wolf Among Us. It will also debut sometime in 2018. According to Telltale Games, the upcoming season will “begin a fresh story arc for its returning cast of characters, featuring the return of Adam Harrington as Bigby Wolf and Erin Yvette as Snow White.” It is also being described as a “standalone product separate from season one and is licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.”
I’m very excited to play the announced upcoming season. Telltale Games knows how to tell engaging stories and I can’t wait!
