“A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Complete First Season” 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD Debuts This June

Fans of the expansive Game of Thrones live-action IP can look forward to owning A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Complete First Season on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD come June 16, 2026, courtesy of WBDHE.
Though there was some trepidation in the fandom as A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms neared release, fans found themselves welcoming the new adventure after they realized what kind of show it was supposed to be and what it brought to the table. Of course, there are some who still aren’t vibing with the small scale of the latest live-action entry to the Game of Thrones franchise. For such fans, it’s very… give me dragons or give me death!
But hey, from what I can tell, A Knight of Seven Kingdoms has been able to attract the required amount of eyeballs and online engagement to keep going. A second season has already been greenlit, looking at a 2027 premiere. A handful of additional seasons are planned if things keep going well.
Based on the novella The Hedge Knight by George R. R. Martin, AKotSK tells the story of Ser Duncan the Tall (he is quite tall) and his young squire named Egg. The narrative is set a whopping century before the events of The Game of Thrones. This is the age where the Targaryen bloodline still holds royal power.
With how the storylines were handled in the first season, the fandom seems to be very excited about this particular series continuing to explore many of the battles and other impactful occurrences that were mentioned in passing or served as the narrative past in GoT.
The cast includes Peter Claffey as Ser Duncan “Dunk” the Tall, Dexter Sol Ansell as Egg, Daniel Ings as Ser Lyonel Baratheon, Bertie Carvel as Baelor Targaryen, Danny Webb as Ser Arlan of Pennytree, Sam Spruell as Maekar Targaryen, Shaun Thomas as Raymun Fossoway, and Henry Ashton as Daeron Targaryen.
Martin serves as co-creator and executive producer. Ira Parker serves as co-creator, showrunner, and executive producer.

Debuting on January 18, 2026, the finale aired on February 22, 2026. The first season is only 6 episodes long, with each episode being approximately 30 minutes in runtime. Think of it as a nice little snack of GoT fans to enjoy between major seasons of bigger shows, with the next one being season 3 of House of the Dragon, gearing up to take flight sometime in June of 2026.
Coming to the physical release, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Complete First Season will include all 6 episodes along with 2 exclusive bonus featurettes with are:
- Building A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
- Welcome to A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (Extended)
The Additional Bonus Features are:

- “Ashford Meadow Set Tour with Dexter Sol Ansell”
- “Inside the Episode” (Episodes 1-6)

- Blooper Reel
The estimated Runtime for the physical release is 3 hours and 20 minutes. The content has been rated TV-MA. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms doesn’t have sexually charged scenes like GoT, but it does have nudity and a lot of violence.
