Fans of VH1’s Hit the Floor are banding together and putting up a fight to get a season 4 confirmed through #Thongs4HTF4!

Fandoms can be weird…passionate, but weird.

Fans of Hit the Floor have been eagerly awaiting news for their favorite show to return for a fourth season. HTF is coming back for a summer special, but the fate of a fourth season is still up in the air.

However, things took an unexpected turn during the Hit The Floor Summer Pre-Show Special discussion with the cast at AfterBuzz TV.

A few minutes in, suggestions about how to get a season 4 green-lit began. The host of the discussion, Alikona Bradford, suggested sending thongs, a hashtag was decided upon, and the #Thongs4HTF4 movement was born!

Whether #Thongs4HTF4 will actually work or not is another story, but seeing any fandom working together towards a single goal is always fun and exciting for me to watch.

I still remember Cookies for Sterek but let’s not get into the unfortunate Teen Wolf mess right now.

Check out some of the awesome #Thongs4HTF4 tweets by fans.

Hit the Floor will be returning for a Summer Special titled ‘Till Death Do Us Part‘ on the 5th of September, 2016, on VH1. I wouldn’t be surprised to see more fans participating in the movement in the next couple of days. Will VH1 green-light a season 4 after receiving an ample amount of thongs? Who knows!

Perhaps the show will find a new home on Amazon, Hulu, or even Netflix? Such things have been known to happen. For now, let’s just enjoy the positivity of the Hit the Floor fandom and prepare ourselves for the summer special.

Hit the Floor boasts a huge POC cast and impressive queer representation. Such shows do need a place on our TV screens.

Are you a fan of Hit the Floor? What are your thoughts about #Thongs4HTF4? Let us know!
