Naruto x 673 Review: We Will…!!!
This week’s issue of Naruto was action-packed to say the least! No panels were wasted on flashbacks, Naruto got to show off some of his new powers, and the stage was set for Madara vs. Naruto and Sasuke. So let’s get to it…
Remember last week when I predicted Madara regaining his strength, Naruto ending up with the powers of the tailed-beasts, and Sasuke getting the Rinnegan? Well, all of these predictions came true, and I couldn’t be happier. I’m on to you, Kishimoto!
Naruto stopped the Eight Gates technique in order for Guy to live. I guess I just have to accept the character isn’t going anywhere. Naruto’s new power-up seems to be out of this world. He punched Madara before he could even attack. The best panel was the one where Naruto debuted his new technique. Borrowing chakra from Son Goku, the four-tailed beast inside Naruto, he combined the beast’s lava attack with his own Rasenshuriken and created the cool looking ‘Sage Mode Youton Rasenshuriken’. I can’t wait for the attack to show up in future Naruto games. The damage was so severe it cut the ‘God Tree’. With the rest of the tailed beasts inside of him, I think Naruto can now create attacks that combine different elements.
There was a panel showing Obito and Sakura. It wasn’t long but I think it’s going to be important in the future. Sakura considered Obito as an ally and thanked him for saving Naruto. However, Obito made a request to Sakura, as her enemy. Ugh! I hate it when Kishimoto teases things. Maybe Obito wants Sakura to kill him? But wouldn’t an ally ask the same thing, too, if needed?
Two interesting things happened to Madara. He was unable to use Rinnegan on Naruto, and the ‘God Tree’ told him to absorb it. That’s how Madara was able to regain all his strength and be ready for his next battle. I was expecting to see the reactions of the Allied Shinobi, and the rest of the Kages. What have they been up to? I remember them battling the giant wooden statue some issues back, but shouldn’t they have won by now?
Sasuke arrived by Naruto’s side to face Madara, with his newly awakened Rinnegan, which looked as if it had the Sharingan combined with it. With the power of the ‘God Tree’ inside of him, I think Madara has evolved into something close to what the Sage’s mother was. So, get ready to have a battle that’s going to be reminiscent of the clash the Sage and his brother had with the ten-tails. Will the two be able to defeat Madara? I’m not entirely sure. The antagonist is still missing one of his eyes, the Rinnegan that’s still with Obito. I don’t think Kishimoto will end him without us seeing the use of both his eyes first. Every battle seems to be about power-ups now. The whole ‘outsmart your enemy’ thing hasn’t appeared ever since the war started, and I miss it dearly. I’m also waiting for Ten Ten to aid the young ninja’s with the Sage’s tools.
What did you think of the issue? Are you excited to see the battle? Who is talking to Madara? What does Obito want from Sakura? Is Naruto the new Avatar now? Please share in the comments!

Sakura is going to take Obito’s Rinnegan for herself!
I doubt Kishimoto will go such a route with Sakura…giving her a Rinnegan..she has genjutsu skills, but it still seems unlikely…what would Obito want from Sakura as ‘an enemy’…hmm
