“Peacemaker: The Complete First Season” Gets Blu-ray & DVD Release This November!
Fans of the John Cena-starring DC action-comedy series Peacemaker can look forward to owning the complete first season when it debuts on Blu-ray and DVD come November 22, 2022.
From Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, Peacemaker season 1 will include all 8 episodes from the HBO Max original series along with two all-new featurettes. Peacemaker: The Complete First Season will be available on DVD for $24.99 SRP and on Blu-ray for $29.99 SRP. The Blu-ray release will include a Digital Copy. Of course, the entire first season is currently available for you to own on Digital via purchase from major digital retailers or you can go ahead and stream it on HBO Max.
Peacemaker follows the titular character (actual name Christopher Smith) after what he went through in James Gunn’s 2021 DC film The Suicide Squad. Written by Gunn (who also directed five of the episodes), the show has Christopher working with a new group on a mission called ‘Project Butterfly’. As one would expect, there’s a lot of gore and crude humor involved. However, what wasn’t expected was how queer-inclusive the show would be. The main cast includes queer characters, including Peacemaker himself.
Along with Cena, the cast also stars Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Holland, Chukwudi Iwuji, Steve Agee, and Robert Patrick.
Gunn, Peter Safran, and Matt Miller serve as executive producers, with Cena also serving as a co-executive producer and Stacy Littlejohn as consulting producer.
The Blu-ray and DVD Special Features include:
- Making the World Safe for Violence: Peacemaker’s Team (Exclusive for Blu-ray and DVD)

Debuting on HBO Max on January 13, 2022, while shenanigans are happening over at Warner Bros/Discovery, according to what Gunn tweeted in early August of this year, season two of Peacemaker is happening.
