“American Assassin” Restricted Trailer Shows Dylan O’Brien In Gory Action
CBS Films have released the American Assassin red band trailer and it shows Dylan O’Brien in all his assassin-y glory!
Fans have been waiting for the new trailer for quite some time now. And while the American Assassin red band trailer didn’t have a particular scene (I’ve heard rumors about a naked fight sequence), it was still enjoyable.
Dylan O’Brien (Teen Wolf) plays Mitch Rapp, the protagonist in the late Vince Flynn’s New York Times bestseller series. American Assassin will serve as Mitch’s backstory and the starting point of another franchise for Dylan. He is joined by Micheal Keaton who plays Stan Hurley.
Check out the red band trailer below!
The trailer shows Mitch being devastated by his girlfriend’s death which then leads him to take revenge against terrorists. He ends up being sent to Hurley for training. The antagonist seems to be one of Hurley’s previous students. There seems to be also a lot of action in the film which I’m certainly excited about.
I also did a reaction video.
I like that the trailer didn’t give too much away. We are introduced to the characters but considering this is an action-espionage film, there are probably going to be a lot of plot twists. The film is directed by Micheal Cuesta.
Along with Dylan O’Brien and Micheal Keaton, the cast also includes Scott Adkins, Sanaa Lathan, Taylor Kitsch, and David Suchet.
Dylan has done an impressive job with his career as a young actor. Fingers crossed that American Assassin is able to give him another big screen franchise. His previous movie franchise, The Maze Runner series, will be concluding with The Death Cure in February next year.
American Assassin currently has a September 15, 2017, release date in the US.

I’m relieved that he’s back acting again. I was worried that accident would chase him out of acting, but he’s so talented that would be a shame.
That accident was terrible…I think he had to complete this film and The Death Cure due to contracts…don’t see him signed up for any new projects after these two films, yet…so hopefully, he’ll be taking a well-deserved break.
