Behaviour Interactive, in collaboration with Universal Games and Digital Platforms, has announced Jurassic World Primal Ops. The upcoming free-to-play mobile action-adventure game is all about rescuing, collecting, and fighting alongside a bunch of dinosaurs.

Jurassic World Primal Ops is expected to launch soon on the App Store and Google Play. The gameplay involves controlling a “battle-trained” handler who will use their combat skills to save dinos across North America and then work with the prehistoric creatures to defeat a range of enemies including mercenaries, poachers, and scientific research teams.

The dinos that the player selects will have different abilities to offer aid during particular missions. For example, Triceratops are about trampling. And the Pteranodons can supply-drop. Each rescued dinosaur is supposed to bring a unique gameplay dynamic.

We’re extremely proud of Jurassic World Primal Ops, and we strongly believe players will love it. The game offers a new and unique mobile gameplay experience in the Jurassic World universe, and the twist on collecting dinosaurs provides a ton of varied gameplay,” said Jason Millena, Senior Creative Director, Behaviour Interactive. “Since the inception of the Jurassic World franchise, we’ve been on a journey that evolves this fantastic relationship between dinosaurs and humans. It’s exciting to showcase how not only do they coexist peacefully, but how they can work together to save other dinosaurs.”

While free-to-play for iOS and Android users, Jurassic World Primal Ops will include in-app purchases. As far as my opinion goes, I don’t have anything against such mobile games as long as the in-app purchases are not necessary for in-game progress.

Here’s the trailer!

Judging by the content in the video, it looks like your team can have three dinos at a time. I like how particular dinos have different attack animations. And, of course, like every other “collecting” game, the dinos also have ranks such as Common, Epic, and Legendary. The overall graphics are nice.

You can learn more about the game and pre-register (which I have done) by visiting the official website.

While fans wait for the game to be released, the third installment in the Jurassic World live-action franchise, Jurassic World Dominion, is ready to debut come June 10, 2022. There’s a lot of buzz around the film due to it bringing back the iconic trio from the original Jurassic Park movie.

And even though I’m not sure why the escaped dinos from Jurassic World 2 haven’t been killed or transported to another island yet, I’m still looking forward to watching JW 3: Dominion.
