“Ben 10: The Complete Collection” Is Incomplete – DVD Review

Warner Bros Discovery Home Entertainment has released the so-called Ben 10: The Complete Collection on DVD.
I was provided with the Ben 10: The Complete Collection on DVD by WBDHE for free for review. The opinions I have shared are my own.
As a fan of the Ben 10 animated series, I was excited to get my hands on the DVD collection and rewatch at least some of the episodes for nostalgia. Spread across a whopping 37 DVDs, it was advertised to include EVERY episode covering Ben 10, Ben 10 Alien Force, Ben 10 Ultimate Alien, and Ben 10 Omniverse. Making it the single product for Ben 10 fans to finally own the entire animated series in physical format. However, unfortunately, the latest DVD release isn’t as advertised.
I was surprised to realize that this set didn’t include at least half of the final episodes from Ben 10 Omniverse (2012-2014) even though the back of the box stated it housed all 80 episodes. The missing episodes were the ones that (as far as I can tell) never received a DVD release.
So, yeah, turns out that this particular “complete” release was just a low-effort re-release of already available Ben 10 DVDs with new cover art and cases. WBDHE could have taken this opportunity to provide fans with a “complete” collection, but nopes. And with a price tag close to USD $100 and the false advertisement to get fans excited, that’s unacceptable. I would have returned the DVD set if I hadn’t received it for free in PR.
Sigh!
I don’t even know what to say in the rest of the review. Along with the missing episodes, Ben 10 and Ben 10 Alien Force are 4:3 instead of 16:9. There isn’t an episode guide booklet that most such releases tend to have. All of this took away from the fact that the current release did include the two animated movies titled Secret of the Omnitrix and Destroy All Aliens. The extra features are an Alien Database and promotional material.
It’s just a disappointing mess of a release, which is unfortunate because WBDHE has given us some good home releases.
Ben 10 fans deserved better.
Feel free to share your thoughts about the Ben 10: The Complete Collection DVD release.

I would’ve loved a Blu-ray release of the shows and the movies.
