(Updated 22 Nov 18) Unseen Westeros – Game of Thrones Exhibition To Be Held Next Year In Berlin! Support The Kickstarter Campaign!

If you are a Game of Thrones fan, you might be interested in an upcoming exhibition titled Unseen Westeros. It will take place in January 2019 in Berlin. (This post has been updated with new information about the Kickstarter).

(Update November 22, 2018): Due to the previous Kickstarter Campaign not being able to reach its goal, fans can still show support through a new campaign which is very close to the $28,480 goal and be proud owners of the Unseen Westeros artbook! Do check it out!

In 2015, more than 40 Original Game of Thrones Concept Artists came together to illustrate the whole pre-story of the World of Ice and Fire. After 3 years of work, 80 new and unseen scenes have been created for the exhibition, which is supported by George R.R. Martin. The Unseen Westeros exhibition will take place in Berlin next year.

The Unseen Westeros exhibition will be free for fans to enjoy. Here’s the official description (from the exhibition’s Kickstarter page):

The unseen world of George RR Martin in a unique exhibition created by the original artists of Game of Thrones. Since season 7, the successful series from the World of Ice and Fire book fascinates a worldwide audience. Many locations in this world have been shown, but the biggest part of this pre-story is still undiscovered. From 2012 on, the conceptional pre-production of “Game of Thrones” as well as the design of all castles and dragons are created by German artists. They’ve received six Emmys for their work.

Unseen Westeros has been specially conceptualized for Game of Thrones fans. The exhibition is supposed to “bring to life” the world Martin has created. Unique music has been composed for each room to create an immersive atmosphere. Around 40,000 people are expected to attend between January 23-27, 2019. The Unseen Westeros exhibition will take place at the historic Umspannwerk Reinickendorf.

Due to the exhibition being free, you can go ahead and support it through the official Kickstarter Campaign. The beautiful Unseen Westeros illustrated book is up for grabs!
